
Jenna Wilayto, pilates instructor
Jenna is the Founder of Helios Center for Movement and a leader
in presenting Fletcher Pilates to Chicago. Specializing in teaching the
finer points of the Pilates Method and the comprehensive techniques of
The Ron Fletcher Work, Jenna celebrates the individual experience of
each student. Her innovative approach to teaching Pilates melds a vast
background of experience in professional dance, personal training and
therapeutic movement to help students understand how best to work with
their body and encourage positive change. In addition to working with
students, Jenna is honored to present the Midwest’s premier Fletcher
Pilates Comprehensive Teaching Program. She hopes to help inspire a new
generation of teachers who share her joy, gratitude and love for the
Fletcher Pilates work.
Karen Tovar, pilates instructor Karen's
love of movement began at the age of 3 with a pair of red patent
leather shoes. She has studied all forms of dance and most recently
performed with the Bruce Wood Dance company in Fort Worth, Texas for 8
years. Karen earned a BFA in Dance from Wright State University and
discovered Pilates while rehabbing a broken foot. She received
her Pilates certification through the PhysicalMind Institute and
has been teaching Private and Group Pilates classes for over 10
years. Her teaching method focuses on the classical technique
created by Joseph Pilates. Karen is dedicated to challenging and
inspiring her clients toward breakthroughs in their level of health and
fitness. She realized the benefits of Pilates and exercise
through pregnancy and has created a Prenatal Pilates Program at Helios.
She is also the proud mother of Sam and wife of Stef.
Kristine Sanderson, pilates instructor
Kristine is excited to join
the Helios Family! She first discovered the Pilates Method
at Appalachian State University, where she graduated with a B.S.
in Psychology and a minor in Dance as well as earning a certificate of
Laban Movement Analysis. After quickly falling in love with the
Pilates practice, she completed her Classical Pilates
Certification at the university. Kristine teaches with a passion
for the Pilates work and incorporates her extensive background in
movement into her sessions, helping her clients gain strength and
mobility. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Dance/Movement
Therapy and Counseling at Columbia College Chicago, which she will
complete in December 2007. In the new year, Kristine will enter
into the Ron Fletcher Comprehensive Teacher Training to earn her
certification in Fletcher Pilates.
Carrie Collins, certified intern - meridian flexibility system Carrie received her
training in the Meridian Flexibility System from Steve Sierra and Anne Tierney.
Carrie is a classically trained pianist and found that the system not only
relieved tension from long hours of practicing, but also helped balance and
strengthen her body, mind and spirit. Carrie offers private stretching sessions.
Julia Molyboga, studio manager Julia is a welcome addition to Helios Center for Movement as she applies her administrative
experiences to keep the studio organized and spic n' span. A love for athletics and combined with a degree in
Communication from Wheaton
College helps Julia welcome the students of Helios at the door and develop new programs at the studio.
